Health and Safety

Health and safety is important to be aware of when using the camera. This is both equipment, the way you use it and the people around, this is will be so you aren't causing damage to either equipment or people. When shooting I make sure I have enough room around me for the tripod and other people to walk around safely.  For example if you shooting in a public area you wouldn't leave a tripod on the floor for someone to fall over.
- When shooting you need to make sure the floor area around you in tidy, this will be to make sure no one can slip over. Also not to leave objects on the floor, for example the tripod bag. This could lead to injury or damage to the equipment.
- Making sure your tripod is flat on the ground is important to, and making sure that the tripod can't fall over, this could hurt someone around or damage the equipment.
- When using the tripod it will be important to make sure its visible for people to see and not trip over. For example not hiding the tripod around a corner from someone to walk into or for someone to trip over. This could lead to injury or damage to equipment.
-When putting the equipment away, you need to make sure that it is put away correctly. For example putting the cameras in the cupboard, if they fall out next time because you haven't put them in correctly if could cause damage to the camera or hurt the person trying to get the camera out.
-When using the photography studio it will be important to make sure no wires are around, especially on the floor for someone to trip over. It will be important to make sure if we see any wires we sort them out straight away before shooting.  This is to prevent injury or damage to equipment.
- When it the studio, I make sure when I'm not using the light I switch them off at the wall to make sure it they aren't getting to hot, this will make the handle hot. When someone wants to move the lights they could burn themselves. Before exiting the studio I make sure that its all where this were
and exactly how they were switched off.
